Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System (AEPS): The AEPS is a curriculum-based assessment that can be used to (a) determine children's strengths, interests, and emerging skills; (b) develop meaningful and functional IFSP and IEP goals/objectives; (c) plan individualized intervention within daily activities; and (d) monitor children's performance over time.

We are currently looking for providers working with young children (0-6) who would be willing to complete either the birth to three level or the three to six level of the AEPS revised edition. You will need to complete the revised Data Recording form and a Basic Data Sheet for each child. Click here for a copy of the Basic Data Sheet. System of Classroom Observation for Program Evaluation (SCOPE):  A study designed to examine key teacher and child behaviors and key environmental events found in preschool classrooms. Using an ecobehavioral assessment ( i.e., the SCOPE) behavioral and environmental events are coded and profiles of the classrooms are created.  In particular, teachers' use of the embedding strategy and the effects on young children are being examined.  If you would like a copy of the SCOPE or if you a teacher working in Northeastern Ohio and are interested in participating in classroom observations please contact Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak. The Partnership Scale: The Partnership Scale study is designed to examine preservice graduate students beliefs, skills and practices regarding  family-centeredness. The data will be used in a doctoral dissertation, and will be disseminated through publications and conference presentations. If you are responsible for the preparation of preservice students in early childhood education or early childhood special education and would be interested in assisting with the distribution of the Partnership Scale to your graduate students please contact Angie Giallorakis.  Students are also welcome to download, complete and mail the survey directly-The Partnership Scale.
